EGYMED Medical Care intends to open two new branches, one in the city of Tanta in the western region and the other in one of the governorates of Upper Egypt.

Hatem El-Gamal, managing director of the company, said that EgyMed currently has 5 branches in several governorates, namely Cairo, Alexandria, Ismailia and Assiut.

He said that his company aims to conclude "medical" contracts with major economic institutions, banks and others to insure their employees in order to provide treatment for them and their families, explaining that his company does not insure individuals, but rather manages collective contracts and accepts the risk in them in order to apply the theory of large numbers that reduces the rise in customers. Medical insurance rates, as well as the high cost of individual insurance products and the inability of many individuals to insure themselves from their own resources, unlike group contracts issued by the institution in which a large share is made for the employer.
