1) The General practitioner appointed by EGYMED examines your staff medically through a clinic supplied by the company

2) The duties of the PCP or the general practitioner can be summarized as follows:

  • Preliminary examination of staff.
• Examining patients and prescribing appropriate medication.
• Transferring patients to consultants and medical examination centers (x-ray, laboratories, etc.)
• Creating medical files for patients.
• Transferring patients to hospitals within the medical network.
• Following up hospitalized cases to ensure the high quality of the medical services offered to the staff.
• Ensuring the application of medical quality standards.
• Making home calls in return for a twenty-pound fee.
• Ensuring the promptness of medical services and overcoming any complaints.

3) In case of small numbers or the lack of a place for the general practitioner at the client’s company, EGYMED takes the following actions:

  (a) In accordance with the client, some hospitals will be specified, so that the client would have the right to use the outpatient clinics of these hospitals directly through his own medical card. In addition to that, specific pharmacies will be determined, from where patients can obtain their prescribed medication.
(b) Specifying clinics for specialists in all specializations. Through his medical card, the client would be entitled to visit these clinics directly.
(c) In case of any requested abnormal medical examinations or x-rays, or in case of hospitalization, there should be a prior consent granted by EGYMED through contacting the medical manager of the company or through the twenty-four-hour hotline, or through the fax.

4) EGYMED will provide a representative for the pharmacies agreed upon, to receive the medical prescription and provide it for the patients at their work.

5) In case of emergencies that form a true threat to a person’s life and require immediate medical interference to save his life, the patient dials the number of the hotline (24 hours). This way the doctor will guide the patient to the emergency hospital certified by the medical network. The patient will be admitted using his medical card only without a need to have a transfer letter from EGYMED to the hospital. In case of his inability to call, the patient can directly go to the hospital and he will be admitted through his medical card as well without any delay or any admission measures. Within 24 hours from hospitalization, the patient is bound to inform the general practitioner or the company with his case.

6) In case an individual is treated at his own expense, EGYMED’s approval should be taken first with regards to treatment outside the medical network of EGYMED. The cost of treatment will be 100% refunded in emergency cases, according to the prices of the company, and 80% refunded in normal cases.

7) In case of adding new individuals after the contract is put into effect, the company will be paid a sum of money specified according to the period of coverage with a minimum of 50%of the price of annual subscription of the individual, and according to the requested kind of coverage.

8) In case of discarding any individual from the contract, and in case the discarded is not making use of any medical procedure, the company will refund an amount of money determined according to the period of coverage.

9) In case of discarding any individual from the contract, and in case the discarded is making use of any medical procedure, the company will not make any refunds

10) If any subscriber exceeds the maximum limit of coverage, you will be informed, and he will be discarded from medical coverage. We can also take a different course of action according to an agreement with your esteemed company.
